Long Waited e-Club Christmas LAN Party 2008 CS1.6 Replays

During late last year, e-Club has organized an enjoyable gaming event hosted by Sunway Rock Cafe.

The LAN party featured tournaments for 3 titles from Valve which are,

• Left 4 Dead
• Team Fortress 2
• Counter-Strike 1.6

Left 4 Dead is a great game and I highly recommend to all of the gamers out there, It was so fun till the marshals went early just to have a round of Left 4 Dead before start working lolx.

As expected, counter-strike tournament draws the usual old school gamer but with a little tad different. Gavin and Hix formerly from UCPRO.LZ has left the team and form a new team named TMK (Tak Mau Kalah?) which consist of another 3 members KrixxKroxx, sHadZz and rico.
Meanwhile UCPRO.LZ got themself some new members and their new lineups are nitroN, syck, mAsh, Jabroniz and Sniggy.
Also in the scene is KingSurf.Mix which also did quite well in the tournament.

3rd Runner Up: TMK

V2 CyberCafe: DotA Amateur Series Championship

In order to help the growth of Malaysia’s competitive DotA scene, V2 CyberCafe has hosted the 1st DotA Amateur Series Championship on 15th-16th November 2008. The competition attracted a total of 32 teams.

The Results:

Champion: DNA-SK walkaway with RM2,000
1st Runner Up: ProG@ walkaway with RM1,000
2nd Runner Up: UCPRO.TBun walkaway with RM500

WGT ’08  CS1.6 as usual features classic match up between old school teams but with new strategy, strats and not to forget exploiting the map even more. WCG ’08 Grand Final is annoucing de_tuscan in their map pool, at last there’s some change but probably most team will drop that map.

DNA Internet Centre DotA-Strike Replays

DNA Internet Centre at Metro Prima, Kepong organized a tournament which involved two well-known comnpetitive game title, Defense of the Ancients and Counter-Strike 1.6 which makes them DotA-Strike.

Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament which was held on 15th December 2007 drew attention from 16 teams with top teams in the CS scene now competing in different line-ups.

PLAYex! ’07 DotA & Warsow 0.32 Showdown Replays

It’s a busy weekend with lot’s of tournament all clash together. GRV manage to get replays from PLAYex! tournament.

PLAYex! tournament features two games, the hottest tournament title in Malaysia and soon in worldwide “DotA” and also a new game introduce to gamers “Warsow”

DotA showdown attracted 8 teams and among them are MkvL, INC, Wizz, RsT.
On the other hand, Warsow showdown attracted 8 players as well with pro-gamers from Counter-Strike scene.

Warsow is a free standalone first person shooter game for Windows and Linux. It is based on the Qfusion 3D engine (a modification of the Quake 2 GPL engine), and aimed on the competitive scene, or the e-sports community. Warsow can be downloaded from http://www.warsow.net for only 90+ mb.

Sino Local DotA LAN Party II

Last weekend there’s a LAN Party held at Sino-Net Computer Enterprise Klang for the locals, featuring the all time favorite competitive game of Malaysia – Defense of the Ancients in short DotA.

The LAN Party offered a whopping RM27,000 worth of prizes for the locals and the max slot of 16 teams was filled in no time. Teams that won the LAN Party is also offered to become fully sponsored Sino-Net home team. The teams participate includes few current Klang powerhouse such as MNG and Team Fish.

Surprisingly, Team Wander manage to do the unexpected. They took down a few powerhouse like NMG (formerly known as TnF) and TeamFish.

Blitzone Razer Counter Strike Shoot Out

 In case you guys didn’t notice, there’s a counter-strike shoot out held at BlitZone Damansara last sunday. The prizes is enormous, containing total of 3 Razer Barracuda headset which cost more than RM300 each and also other Razer and Valve sponsored prizes. 

We have hell lot’s of fun. Everyone enjoyed the match not to forget tons of machines unlocked for gamers to warm up while waiting for their match up.
